Having had a career in adverting agencies in London running accounts for Honda Cars and Direct Line to name a few, I returned to Cornwall to to run a brand events company for 10 years before Joining Classic Cottages as Head of Marketing. I joined Trewithen Dairy in February 2016 to refresh their brand positioning and create the momentum to turn this regional dairy into a nationally recognised food producer. I moved the brand on, to focus on their delicious products through the strap-line "Lovely Stuff". I developed a warm and youthful tone across all of their comms channels from vehicle livery, to social media, website and packaging to make it more relevant to a younger "foodie" audience. I developed a digital strategy to keep customers informed and engaged with the brand, the centre piece of which was a new website and a database of 25,000 engaged customers, built from scratch, that became their core audience. I developed a focus on the environment; helping to implement key changes to farming practices such as all contracted herds being grazed for a minimum of 120 days and encouraging greater biodiversity through the Fowey Valley Bee project. This project was set up to protect pollinators in the Fowey Valley working with the Bumble Bee Conservation Trust National, Trust and Duchy of Cornwall. Also implementing better working practices through delivering a Zero of Landfill policy for the factory and office in 2020. Creating the brand experience the "Scone Revolution" at the Royal Cornwall Show. Creating our "Trew stories" film series which was a finalist in the UK Brand Awards in 2020. Helping our sales team with B2B marketing from in-store campaigns, to the "Street Surfer" live events. With new contracts in place with more major retailers and turnover at a record high you could say it was a great start and over to someone else to take it all forward. I am taking my passion and energy forward to set up NEW Marketing, a Marketing Consultancy created to help businesses that want to develop the effectiveness of their communications.
