Managing Director of Ecorys UK, appointed in September 2022. My role is to lead the UK Business across all sectors, service lines and markets. Prior to this role, since 2012, I was Managing Director for our Policy & Research team. P&R are a team of 100 colleagues working across social and economic policy fields in the UK, across Europe, and internationally. Responsible for market and business strategy, overall profit and loss, business planning, business development, resourcing and staffing, recruitment, line management of director team, and training/staff development. Statutory Director of Ecorys UK with board level responsibilities, including for UK Market Strategy, corporate comm's and marketing. Member of the Ecorys UK Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Taskforce. Board level sponsor for ISO14001 accreditation. Ecorys Research Ethics panel member. Designated Safeguarding Officer.Over 20 years’ experience in social policy research, monitoring and evaluation. Policy interests lie in health and wellbeing, ageing and demographic change, children and young people, community engagement and social inclusion and the use of web and social media. Has directed and managed a wide variety of UK and European quantitative and qualitative research and mixed method evaluations for public, private and voluntary sector clients. Has particular experience of leading large-scale research projects, involving mixed-methods, multiple stakeholders and locations and consultant-academic consortia. Able to apply a sound knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods, logic models and theories of change, to produce robust impact evaluation studies. Research background is underpinned by a commitment to beneficiary involvement including peer and action research. Communicating research findings effectively through multiple channels including social media is a key strength. Previously worked at Ipsos-MORI and in the voluntary sector in social policy research. Progressed to Director at Ecorys in 2012 having joined us in 2004. As Director of our Policy and Research teams Nicola is responsible for our team of research, survey and evaluation specialists and our portfolio of over 100 projects for public and voluntary sector clients across domestic, European and international markets.
