My role as Director of Operations at A Runner's Mind is a perfect example of my effectiveness working cross-functionally with all departments to provide an excellent guest experience and product offering for everyone.As our Apparel Buyer, I'm able to express one of my creative passions by selecting a curation of pieces from our best brands. Filling the role of Events Manager and Race Director for all of our in-store and community events including a 1000 person Gobble Wobble on Thanksgiving has allowed me to learn how to host zero-waste events. With this knowledge I created a playbook to share with other race directors to move the racing portion of our industry to a sustainable future.Managing our website has forced me to learn how to present our brand in a digital world. The Wordpress backend can seem like a daunting place, but it's always so satisfying when you finally reproduce on the frontend the dreams you come up with mentally. I get to work with our Footwear Buyer to relay information about our vendor returns statistics to continue operating efficiently and planning effectively as a small business. With the success of our store comes the interest from brands and vendors in partnering and sponsoring us both in-store and in collaboration with other groups in our community. Managing those relationships has further emphasized how shared interests and passions bring to life the best experiences.More recently, I've established a relationship between A Runner's Mind and the Low Impact Alliance. Our industry needs strong partners to work together to solve the biggest issues that impact us on global scales.Working at A Runner's Mind has also offered me the opportunity to serve on the board of the RIA. As a current retail member of the board I have the privilege of hearing from and collaborating with other industry leaders to maintain a shared platform for run specialty.

Burlingame Store Manager (Aug 2016 - April 2018)- Led team of Sales Associates and Assistant Manager in flagship store; maintained YOY totals ($1.3+ million) with an upward trend during Q1 2018- Responsible for controlling inventory accuracy of footwear (2000+ units), apparel (200+), and accessories; including socks, nutrition, and miscellaneous running essentials (1000+)- Performed receiving, sorting, and stocking duties for an average of 15 daily incoming shipments- Created a four week training program designed and implemented to prepare all new Team Members for success when entering the sales floor- Withheld the ARM reputation for superior service for our guests, quality Gait Analysis, and proper shoe fittings; gained experience with biomechanics and kinesiology- Organized events and programs in collaboration with vendors and with ARM Productions to maintain the established ARM community and continue driving traffic into the store- Managed store-sponsored events including weekly Speed Workouts, Fun Run, and Reborn Fitness- Sponsored athlete on the ARM team competing in local events on a monthly basis

Research and Development Lab Management- Executed Request for Proposal (RFP) from 15+ potential manufacturers and distributors. Purpose of RFP was to find new packaging supplier for bags used during customer delivery - Managed inventory in the lab of more than 1000 sample units- Conducted, translated, and presented 50+ Lab tests to understand the variance in safety and quality of the products being delivered under different temperature conditions; tests included samples from RFP companies- Conducted an additional 50+ Lab tests to understand carrying capacity of samples and quality of our distribution network based on proposed varianceWarehouse Operations Management- Initiated and managed packaging reuse program in San Francisco to lower both costs and carbon footprint by reusing delivery bags.
