This led to relationships with a variety of different clients - hedge funds, dedicated convertible and general funds, private banks and retail investors - understanding their differing needs through ongoing discussions and face to face meetings. Simultaneously I was responsible for the risk management and hedging of my book, through a variety of hedging instruments such as stock, options, FX, bond futures and CDS. I also managed the associated corporate actions on the positions, including conversions, redemptions, dividend adjustments and stock splits.Throughout this role, I was heavily involved in the development, testing and rollout of new IT systems and new releases. I also was solely responsible for creating and maintaining a variety of Excel based applications for price contribution, live P&L and risk management. -

This provided not only significant P&L for the business, but additional funding the CB desk.After issuance, I was responsible for the initial hedge, screen quoting, corporate actions, conversions and redemptions. In additions, the team issued a product that tracked a CB index for which I developed a spreadsheet for the live pricing and risk management.
