It’s located at the Value Added Logistics provider Broekman Logistics.I am a member of the Supply Chain Management team of the Construction Machinery division in Zweibrücken, Germany. In this role I function as a bridge between the activities including SCM, Tech department and Quality in Zweibrücken and Assembly operations at the external service provider in Weert.Main target is 100% delivery performance (from SCM point of view) with zero defects (from QA point of view) from Kubota Corporation to the end customer. I worked at VDL Nedcar in Born, the only car manufacturing plant in the Netherlands. The plant manufactures several models for BMW, the Mini Cabrio (F57), the Mini Countryman (F60) and the latest BMW X1 (F48). It's one of the biggest employers of the province and is important for the regional employment (4.000+ employees). I worked at the department Supply where I was mainly responsible for complex problem solving at suppliers that are structurally disturbing the supply chain of VDL Nedcar. I worked at the planning department of Mora Maastricht, a production company from Van Geloven, for ten months, filling in for colleagues during projects. Van Geloven produces and distributes a wide range of appetizers and consists of brands like Mora – most popular Snack brand in Benelux – and ‘De Bourgondiër’, Hebro, Ad van Geloven, Van Lieshout and Welten. Main responsibilities:o Responsible for the entire handling of production orders; o Back flushing of the resources that are used for the production process;o Creating the daily production report;o Monitoring the stock of raw Materials, semi finished products and package materials and carrying through daily, weekly and monthly stock corrections.o Analyzing daily raw material consumption and adjusting data in consultation of other departments.o Creating instructions for the production department conform specific requirements such as expiration date and demanded quantity. o Notifying the Production and Warehouse department of realtime events.

Chromaflo Technologies is a global provider of colorant technology solutions, serving customers in architectural and industrial coatings as well as the thermoset composites market. I worked at the plant in Sittard to fill in for colleagues on the Planning department during the spring / summer period.Main responsibilities:o Follow- up and coordination of process orders;o Internal communication with production, purchase and sales department further to planned process orders;o Providing information for internal departments of availability and planning of materials and products;o Stock management; assessing and taking actions in order to maintain optimal stock levels;o Master data management; managing relevant SAP data such as SOP Groups and BOM Fillings.

Heuschen & Schrouff Oriental Foods Trading BV is the market leading distributor of authentic Asian food and non food in Germany, Austria, Benelux and the rest of Europe. It also produces bean sprouts for several European markets. As part of the course Business Management SME I did an internship at Proton B.V. for five months. This production company of transducers is a subsidiary of Esaote S.p.A., one of the world’s leading manufacturers of medical diagnostic systems.There I had the possibility to improve my skills in production logistics, material management and accounting organization. Activities:My research mainly contained reviewing the integrated logistics concept that allowed Proton to scale up their production; a shift from intermittent production to flow production had to be realized. As part of this research:o Mapping primary process;o Mapping the goods flow;o Calculating Lead time;o Mapping administrative processes; o Proposing solutions for Kanban and Warehousing.As a result of a shift in manufacturing inventory control (MRP) it became possible to: v Use alternative techniques for feeding the assembly lines that are more efficient;v Register scrap more efficiently;v Reduce time being spent on administrative processes.Research methodologies: Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and Business Process Mapping (BPM).

Former Hamilton Sundstrand, now Collins Aerospace, is a subsidiary of Raytheon Technologies, a provider of high-technology products and support services for customers in the aerospace and building industries worldwide.Assignment:Development of an interactive system with Microsoft Visio which displays flowcharts of primary processes of the logistics department. This interactive system is based on written documents such as quality plans, procedures and work instructions and could be used as a user manual by employees of the logistics department. The system is compatible with the existing quality manual.
