My role at this site is to be a monitor. I monitor visiting parent and children who were separated by court. My role is to pick the child up from the non-visiting parent and monitor their visitation making it a safe and comfortable environment for all parties.

I was selected to be a SHPEP scholar at Howard University as a Medical Scholar. SHPEP allowed me to do rotations in various specialities which provided me with insight of the Medical Field. The passion, the drive, determination, and motivation I feel when on site in surgeries, deliveries, etc always confirms my soul is right where it belongs. I also had the opportunity to take STEM courses that will be relevant as a future Medical Doctor. Forever grateful to be a part of Howard University's , SHPEP cohort of 2023.
