Dr. Buchanan examines the interplay of identity variables (e.g., race, gender) and how they impact harassment and organizational best practices; the ways in which non-traditional research is marginalized (i.e., epistemic exclusion), and mechanisms for infusing equity and inclusion in clinical (e.g., psychedelic-assisted therapy), medical, organizational and academic practice. An accomplished writer and scholar, she has 120+ publications focusing on equity and inclusion (in psychedelics, training, and organizations), harassment, organizational climate and professional development.
