When I was ten years old and playing in a volleyball game, I promptly walked up to the scorekeeper and informed her of the inaccurate score on the board. While this may seem like an insignificant story, it made me realize my great desire for success and victory. Becoming a volleyball coach only heightened this need, as I wanted my team to grow both on and off the court. I creatively crafted many fun yet effective drills to increase stamina, coordination, and strength. I also wanted my players to grow to love themselves and their teammates; through team-building exercises, my players learned the value of friendship, sportsmanship, and selflessness. As I transition from my high school academic life to my professional college career, I have realized that I strive to help companies grow, as I once did for my players, to their fullest and most successful versions of themselves. As an Economics major at the University of Alabama, I will gain valuable skills to help guide businesses to make the best financial choice possible. Furthermore, being actively involved in my sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta, has improved my communication and public speaking skills.
