The majority of my work at Gro revolved around creating a comprehensive framework for end-to-end front-end application development, encompassing everything from setting up and linting an app to building and maintaining it. A core component of this framework was a React-based component library, which included data visualizations such as maps and charts. Using this framework, I led development efforts on several applications focused on climate and agricultural analytics.

My second time at Fritz, I focused on our React web application, which allowed users to create computer vision models without any code. Following my integration of user metric tracking, we were able to identify where users were dropping off in the process. To address this, I revamped the onboarding flow and streamlined our tool for image annotation. These changes resulted in an over 20% boost in user retention.

My first time at Fritz, I focused on our iOS and Android SDKs, which facilitated the usage of computer vision models in mobile applications. My primary project was developing FritzVisionVideo, an API for both SDKs that allowed users to use computer vision models on pre-recorded video. Although there were significant differences in implementation due to each platform's unique native video processing libraries, I successfully ensured feature parity and maintained a consistent design across both APIs. Notably, there were no competing solutions offering similar functionality at the time.

My project at Zebra dealt with finding a way to implement biometric access on our mobile devices, many of which are low-powered. Since most of these devices were equipped with cameras, I decided to prototype a server-side facial recognition system. I built an Android application to capture and transmit images, and a Flask server running a facial recognition model to process those images. As my internship concluded, I presented my project's results to multiple panels of Zebra engineers.
