Nigel Denning - Nigel has worked for a number of well-known organisations during his career and has been actively involved in learning and development for the last 25 years. His introduction to the field began in 1985 when he joined British Telecom’s Management College and has continued with three other employers until 1994 when he became self employed. Nigel has managed clients on behalf of a number of consultancies and worked in sectors as diverse as charities to finance and engineering to health services. In the last few years Nigel has worked alongside: Mercedes F1; Boots; Speedo; Cadent; Costain; Khuene Nagle; National Grid; and Macmillan.As you would expect in 25 years Nigel has done just about most things in the field of learning and development e.g.:Coached Senior Leaders/Managers on a 1 to 1 basis to improve performance and develop careers.Designed and facilitated bespoke events - from conferences with messages to events designed to specifically address business issues.Designed and delivered senior and middle management development programmes.Delivered training programmes in subjects ranging from time management to assertiveness.Designed and delivered team based programmes - building, effectiveness and developmental.Nigel’s most recent projects include:A modular management development programme for Technical Leaders in the Environment Agency.Senior management coaching for Khuene Nagle.Graduate development in Costain; Babcock; National Grid and Cadent.Team development across a number of senior multi disciplinary teams in the Environment Agency.Talent management programme for Boots and Speedo (including the design of a 360 degree feedback tool).Specialties: Nigel is an experienced coach, facilitator and trainer who is qualified to use Belbin®, Strength Deployment Inventory®, FIRO (b)® and Myers Briggs Type Indicator®.
