About Nigel Fletcher

Political historian, writer and consultant. My academic research and teaching on British politics is informed by previous practical experience of British politics at national and local levels. As well as lecturing at King's College London, I act as a freelance research consultant and writer, and welcome interesting new projects. In recent years I have assisted with the drafting or editing of a number of high-profile political memoirs and diaries. I have also published my own books and chapters, and appear frequently as a commentator across various media outlets. I sit on a number of charity trustee boards in the fields of heritage and culture, and hold a public appointment as a member of the statutory committee advising the Government on national records and archives.
