Programme Planner for South East Flexible Ticketing (SEFT). A complex programme to deliver Smart Ticketing to the South East (Rail Region) using both Agile and Waterfall. The programme is complex in both soft (a very wide and complex group of stakeholders) and technically (complex system integration). I was responsible for integrating and developing all existing plans for the Libra Programme as part of a major exercise to ensure that Libra was rolled out by December 2008 (it was). It was essential to bring a clear end to end view of the Programme that identified and enabled management of all dependencies. Which was one of the key enablers to a succesful Rollout.This is one of a number of Major Programmes where it was necessary to achive enterprise type planning with standard planning tools.

I was responsible for developing the programme plans for a major telecoms transition (AOL Broadband UK from AOL Inc. into CarphoneWarehouse). An extremely complex transition that also required the building of; an ISP, a corporate network and development of corporate CRM and billing system. Challenges I faced included; an ‘in flight’ programme with little existing planning or cohesion of a variety of different methodologies and a last minute change of CRM/Billing solution (which also meant a new third party provider). I was able to bring clarity and cohesion to the programme by implementing a framework that brought the disparate parts together and enabled me to design a planning regime that expressed the overall programme and enabled regular executive reporting on programme status. Through a number of workshops and eventually company wide presentations I was able to bring a level of understanding, about the programme as a whole, to the wider corporate body.
