A self-motivated, passionate, perspective PhD student with a desire to help people and make a difference in the fields of Biology & Biomedical Sciences. I have undergraduate, graduate, and industry research experience in the fields of Forensic Science, Biochemistry, Cellular & Molecular Biology, Cancer Biology, and Single/Rare Cell Biology.Currently, I am a second-semester graduate student in the Cellular and Molecular Biology M.S. program at the University of New Haven. In December 2023, I graduated with a B.S. in Forensic Science, concentrating in Biology, as part of an accelerated (3.5 + 1) BS/MS program. I also work part-time at the biotechnology startup company Cellsbin, Inc as a continuation of my role as a cell analysis intern. As an undergraduate, I completed an Honors Thesis in Biochemistry and Forensic Science on Lactate Dehydrogenase isoforms and hypoxia. I was also a Center for Statistics and Applications in Forensic Evidence (CSAFE) Research for Undergraduates (REU) Intern in the area of toolmark analysis at both Iowa State University and the University of Pennsylvania. Furthermore, for the last 6 semesters, I have been employed as a Laboratory and Chemical Stockroom Assistant for the University of New Haven’s Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.
