Computer Aided Design Engineer
Current• Collect and analyze relevant design data related to water infrastructure projects.• Draft in AutoCAD and model in Civil3D water utility networks such as sewerage, storm, irrigation, potable water and firefighting.• Create and execute workflows for gravity and pressure pipe networks.• Create parts lists through Part Builder for both pipes and structures.• Import shape files in Civil 3D for creating 3D network models and profiles.• Develop detailed 3D models of water infrastructure components, including Gravity and Pressurize Pipe Networks and Profiles in Civil 3D.• Identify and address issues related to BIM models and project coordination.• Collaborate and communicate with other disciplines on coordination and model development tasks.• Work with BIM Lead, Design Leads and Design Engineers to develop engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements, layouts, profiles, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, component details from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures.• Work closely with BIM Lead and Design Engineers to ensure timely completion of the assigned tasks, implementation of the project information and requirements, and adherence to quality and the given policies and processes.• Review each drawing for readability, presentation and adherence to standards, in accordance with the company QA/QC process.• Provide training and support to other team members on BIM software and workflows.
