• Manage a 3-member team in the Global Credit Trading business space within Markets segment of Institutional Banking• Review all the reporting (P&L reports, Expense reports, HC reports) done by the team, provide driver-based variance analysis along with the reports which helps better monitor business performance• Prepare performance review decks for monthly/quarterly senior management reviews• Have business performance reviews with Business Managers/P&A Lead on a periodic basis to highlight the areas of concern in the business• Forecast the P&L for future time period, helping understand the opportunities and risks associated with the business• Annual Budgeting – coordinating with the business and product teams for inputs, ensuring that the budgets are in line with the expectation• Role included managerial responsibilities – mentoring, career development, training new joiners and interns in the team• Automate the processes wherever possible to make them more efficient and streamlined• Liaise with the technology team to develop management dashboards which required involvement from ideation to execution stage, ensuring all the relevant information is captured from business standpoint

• Monitor P&L of each of the businesses (Metals trading, Minerals trading, Agri Products trading, Leather, Leather Products) and highlight areas of concern directly to the Managing Director• Prepare concise summaries for MD’s consumption prior to business review meetings, highlighting the key points on the business performance• Liaise with Business Head’s to ensure effective execution of the action items requested by the MD• Annual Budgeting – Validate the business budgets and ensure that they are as per expectation

Key Responsibilities:• Prepare P&L for Consumer Banking (Retail Business) in Russia. Analyze the deviations in trends of the key P&L items and provide meaningful driver based analysis to the senior management• Perform detailed analysis of the expenses and highlight the major variations with explanation• Prepare monthly/quarterly business decks for CFO/Business Head review’s to help monitor performance of the business and understand the problem areas• Prepare Flash on a monthly basis to forecast the month end close numbers, highlight major deviations if any• Prepare an Estimate (Outlook) of the P&L and B/S financials for the future time period, thereby helping understand the opportunities and the risks associated with the business• Actively involved in the Annual Budgeting exercise which involves coordinating with the business and product team’s for inputs and also ensuring that the budgets in systems are in line with the expectation• Prepare Branch Profitability report for all of the branches in Russia and highlight the non-performing branches to the senior management, thereby helping in decision making to improve the operating efficiency• Automate the processes wherever possible and help in bringing efficiency in the system

Key Responsibilities:• Monitor the salary account portfolio in terms of various business parameters, track the performance against plan and highlight trends/deviations that help in protection/growth of business• Prepare monthly/quarterly presentations for the MD/CFO and other senior management in the bank to highlight the challenges in the business• Provide ad-hoc analysis to the seniors which helps in decision making and improving the portfolio performance• Contribute in generating Cost Saves by identifying opportunities having the potential for cost optimization• Constant engagement with Product teams and Business teams to understand the business dynamics and the problem areas affecting the portfolio• Monitor the resource productivity and highlight the under-performing resources to the senior management • Preparation of comprehensive business budgets and ensure that the product budgets are in line with the corporate objectives

Key Responsibilities:• Acquire knowledge of a broad range of investment products/strategies including equity securities, fixed income securities, mutual funds and structured products.• Perform Risk Profiling of the client: Includes understanding of the risk appetite of the client, his specific investment needs and future requirements.• Perform Asset Allocation: Includes allocation of portfolio among different asset classes such as equity, debt etc. based on client's risk appetite.

Key Projects undertaken:I) Technical Analysis using Technical Indicators• The project involved working on several Technical Indicators like MACD, ADX, RSI etc and developing a model that would generate signals based on the indicators.• A single technical indicator was generated by combining various technical indicators, which would help the investor to get a better picture of the stock market. • The indicator was primarily designed to: 1. Generate momentum signal(Bullish/Bearish) for stocks/indices2. Indicate strength of the signal3. Indicate trend of the signalII) Portfolio Management:• The primary aim of the project was to perform a health check-up of an Equity portfolio. • The main objective of the health check-up was to perform the Risk-Assessment of the portfolio which was done using a risk scale generated based on the Grade wise concentration of the portfolio and the Beta’s of the stocks in the portfolio.
