Undertaking trustee implementation in 120 gardens and Bought leaf factories with a combined total of 100 Million Kgs of certifies tea. The Plantation Community Empowerment Program rollout in Assam which catered to a unique opportunity for a common platform where management and the workforce could come together not only to air issues affecting the garden but also find solutions to these jointly, creating an atmosphere of co creation and co ownership in 3 tea gardens influencing a population of 30,000 residents. In the process through careful nurturing women, were empowered and youth got a boos in development.Nirbhay took an initiative with a total of 3 Community Development Fora were formed, with an average strength of 20-30 members with 50% women and 30% youth representation to build a sustainable platform.He made a significant collaboration with world class institutions like Pratham, IDEA NE and UPAI (Ultimate Frisbee) which have been the hallmark of this program.

India

In this stint Nirbhay was in the estates in the Nilgiri Wynaad Group and was controlling 455 HA of Tea,Cardamom, Coffee and Pepper.That includes(but not limited to) a 3 Million Kgs capacity made tea factory.

Malawi

Nirbhay was handling over 2000 HA of plantations primarily in tea and forestry with a work force of over 3500 people . In the assistance of expertise and knowledge in operations including financial planning, cost control , annual budgeting, Capex implementation apart from operations and quality control of tea manufacture worth over 5 million USD with considerable overseas contracts and also certified in 2 major global certifications. Also experienced in direct shipping of product to overseas buyers and intimate knowledge of tea auctions and marketing in Africa.

Tanzania

As a new product development manager Nirbhay was responsible for the production of Orthodox, Green Tea and Herbs Project and was also an Advisor. He also operated out of the Black CTC Factories- Luponde & Itona.

Tanzania

The largest smallholder tea Factory in Tanzania. Both combined produced 6.5 million kgs of tea in 2004 was led by Nirbhay.He controlled a completely different set of communities and co-workers in a completely different work environment.This allowed him to think out of the box and be resilient which even stands with him till today.

Malawi

Opportunity to Nirbhay is a welcome challenge and he took the best foot forward and started working in Africa and here he achieved significant quality improvement at Makandi Tea in Malawi and topped in prices at the Auction. Subsequently, he worked in two factories in Tanzania, Kibena, manufacturing quality with many improved prices to speciality tea and herbs with green tea and the only orthodox manufacturing unit in tea in entire Tanzania.

Kerala, India

It was that part of Nirbhay's Career in Tea when he was hand-picked by the management of the company and was transferred to South India division at the flagship factory Madupatty. Stints there, Chundavurrai Orthodox and valuable field experience was led by me.

Assam, India

It seems just yesterday, I took charge of Kakajan-The then largest operating Tea Estate of the company. Since then I married to the flavour of joy in Tea manufacturing.That happened 30 years ago but those experiences are still fresh in Nirbhay's Mind. The early days were tough. Learning from scratch in the biggest operating Tea Estate of the Company gave Nirbhay assistant to community and labour management,Soon he was transferred to Chabua Tea Estate, with a zest of key learning in Kakajan managing Chubwa Tea Factory he received a commendation on quality improvement from the MD and the Sr. Vice President.
