Dr. Nishtha Kathuria has more than 12 years of experience in Maternal and Child Health which involve implementation of government initiatives, monitoring and evaluation, managing state and National PIPs, organizing technical consultation and handling national and international grants. She has functioned as a core person in strengthening service delivery around childbirth which includes initiatives like skill lab management, capacity building on safe birthing checklist & NSSK, strengthening maternal death review and labour rooms, and designing protocols for maternal nutrition She has managed grants as a technical person in a leadership role from various organization viz UNICEF, USAID and Corporate social responsibility grants. She has a demonstrable experience of working in public health program management, technical assistance, problem solving, business development, monitoring & evaluation, facility assessments and advocacy with Central and State Governments, International agencies and NGOs. In the past she has been a regional RMNCH+A trainer for North east states, West Bengal and Jharkhand. She has good liaison with professional bodies especially Indian Academy of Paediatrics for implementation of pilot project Helping Babies Survive in 5 High priority districts. Presently she is involved in project management, technical guidance, team management and capacity building in projects related to preconception, conception and child health and nutrition.
