The Fellowship combines a fully funded 6-8 week summer field experience in the developing world with two quarters of academically rigorous research.

The Mission of Awaaz.De is to provide technology solutions to organizations in the development sector around the world, enabling them to connect with underserved communities and increase their social impact.Research Activities: Across Gujarat, Bihar, and Assam, my team conducted 47 individual interviews and 8 group interviews with five Awaaz.De’s client organizations: Precision Agriculture for Development, Self-Employed Women’s Association, Ambuja Cement Foundation, CRISIL Foundation, and Jan Jagaran Shakti Sangathan. From these interviews, we assessed the social impact of Awaaz.De’s technology on the end-users living in rural communities.Key Findings:- Awaaz.De’s social impact is embedded. - Field engagement affects social impact. - When tailored, the value of content increases.Deliverables:- Case Studies- Recommendations to Awaaz.De from Field Visits- Mobile Social Impact Assessment Framework
