At AGRIS, I was able to display my work ethic and dedication to my job, especially during the busy summer months working at an agricultural company. As a member of the warehouse team, I was responsible for organizing incoming and outgoing orders, delivering to customers, checking inventory, and doing maintenance and repairs on company equipment and vehicles. I was also able to use and develop the skills that I had learned throughout school and my prior work experiences. This included my ability to problem-solve, improving work-flow and efficiency in the warehouse and my personal communication skills, through interacting with customers and training new employees.

Working alongside the Medical Physics team at the WRH Cancer Program was a great experience early in my university career. I was able to learn from professionals in the medical field and utilize the tools I had learned at school. One of my responsibilities was assisting with the quality assurance testing. This involved daily, weekly and monthly calibration of the radiation machines and recording and processing the data in Excel. I also completed two programming projects using the Python language. The first project involved using SQL servers to organize machine servicing information whereas the second was created to aid physicists process data from the linear accelerators.

While working at Thiessen Apple Orchards, I was able to display and further develop my communication, leadership and teamwork skills. My primary responsibility was guiding customers through the orchard. This involved leading tours and answering questions regarding apple variety and activities that were available at the orchard. I also assisted with maintenance and helped guide other student employees to ensure that all activities were being run efficiently and safely.
