I am a long-standing social researcher who thrives on conducting projects which benefit diverse communities. I have worked in government and academia, where I partnered with non-profit/community sector organisations, conceiving a mix of small and large multi-year research projects which draw on archives, media and interviews. I have written large grant applications, managed substantial budgets, supervised staff and produced a range of public, industry and media outputs in written, visual and oral form. I have consistently demonstrated strong ethical capabilities, working with Indigenous, veteran, LGBTIQ+ and trans people across Australia to record their experiences and apply them towards a range of workplace, health, policy, legal and social welfare challenges. My strengths include project design and evaluation, grant writing, budget management, qualitative research methods, conducting interviews and focus groups, designing research questions, relationship building and stakeholder engagement, education and training, close attention to policy detail, and a pragmatic approach to problem solving. My teaching and research skills have reached diverse cohorts and are particularly attuned to the needs of LGBTIQ+, Indigenous and veteran communities. I have established relationships and networks across Australia with organisations and individuals from these communities and representative organisations.
