I was responsible for leading the development, support and maintenance of applications and business systems that support the operation of the Australian Parliament, and the delivery of new ICT capabilities under the Australian Parliament Digital Strategy 2019-22

As CSIRO's Head of Client Services I lead a national team delivering IT services to Australia’s national science agency. My role in overseeing the delivery of IT services to CSIRO sites across Australia including a Service Centre, field support and a desktop fleet of 10,000+ devices encompasses group strategy, execution, capability and portfolio delivery.Highlights in the role have included:- Recognised as an innovator and successful thought leader, invited to speak at international events for Microsoft (US), Atlassian (US) and Fuji Xerox (NZ).- Lead the improvement and promotion of CSIRO’s collaboration platforms which achieved a 200% increase in their uptake across CSIRO.

My promotion to this role recognised my capacity to initiate, lead, and develop products to support science and provide business solutions on enterprise platforms such as MS Dynamics, SAP, Intelledox Infiniti and JIRA.In this key role my focus was on leading 80+ staff and contractors, developing group strategy, executing plans, building capability and delivering strategic level portfolio outcomes.Highlights in the role included:- Advocated for and introduced Lean-Agile principles at an enterprise level with the approval of the CSIRO executive - Established CSIRO’s first Agile Release Train to support delivery of an enterprise value stream to manage research projects from opportunity through to delivery. This digital transformation was delivered through MS Dynamics, SAP, SharePoint and Intelledox Infiniti and is utilised by 2000+ staff. - Developed a new capability to re-engineer and digitise legacy forms and processes throughout the organisation based on the Intelledox Infiniti platform. Successes showcased at national and international industry events.

Recruited from a startup my mandate was to introduce the branch to more innovative and rapid means of product development. My key focus was on the planning and delivery of a product portfolio across multiple development teams utilising Java, .Net and mobile technologiesHighlights in the role included:- Leading the adoption of Agile product development within the branch- Delivered CSIRO's first mobile app 'SoilMap'

Drawing on my earlier career in commercial entities, I stepped into this start-up environment to support this information technology and research and development company that was developing electronics and software for monitoring elite athletes.My role spanned day to day business operations, product development and R&D and exposed me to working with significant uncertainty and at a fast pace.Highlights included building an network across senior levels of highly competitive sporting codes; initiating and cementing a relationship with a supplier in China; and demonstrating my capacity to remain responsive in an extremely competitive market sector.
