Examine and document the current shipping procedures to identify areas for cost saving and improvement of shipping merchandise to 1000 stores from distribution center. Maintain routing guide for all incoming freight from various vendors. Create charge backs for vendors who do not comply with our routing program. Audit and approving all freight bills. Rated 200-400 freight bills per day from various customers with various tariffs. Process overcharge claims and balance due bills.

Maintain Corporate Traffic Department Electronic data processing database for freight bill payment, billing, audit, carrier selection, reporting and surveys. Analyzing and implementing computer tariff applications insure EDI file updates to account payable for payment to carriers, Provided rate quotation in response to request from distribution centers and plant sites. Analyze best economic service and other criteria for outbound and inbound shipments.Audit freight bills for all locations filed overharges with carriers and handle follow up to insure equitable settlement of claim.Assisted international personal with inland routing and rates. Handle all balance dues sent in by carriers. Transferred order related data from AS400 mainframe to local area PC rated file and transferred file to third pary paying agent.

Rate 400-500 bills per night via CRT. Audited bills from various motor bills to ensure accurate applicatonsof rates, controlled interline work,processed overcharge claims and partial payments,handled surveys and telephoned request with branch managers.Part time in June
