• My expertise is in project management and communications strategy for social enterprises. To give you a sense of my work, here are some of my favorite projects to date:
• Creating a communications plan – topic ideation, editorial calendar, original articles, social media and more – to articulate company vision and expertise.
• Auditing client Google Analytics to develop strategies to grow company sales and communications.
• Supervising my employer’s successful application for B Corp certification.
• Developing the first pricing structure for a creative art studio.
• Producing a custom art project that involved scheduling and interviewing 80+ participants.

NYC And The Hudson Valley

• I started with Down to Earth Markets as a freelance writer. Over the next four years, I was given increased responsibility, culminating in managing all communications and advertising for the company. Here were some.
• Introduced the company press process: editorial calendar and blog, as well as consistent distribution of press releases & strengthening of media relationships.
• Initiated and supervised successful application for B Corp certification; resulted in company designation as a “Best for the World” with score in top 10% of all B Corps for overall social and environmental impact.
• Directed budget and strategic plan for company advertising, including management of freelance graphic designers, printers, and other vendors.
• Wrote company defining documents: Mission and Vision statements, founder biographies, company history, rebranding campaign from Community Markets to Down to Earth Markets in Nov 2012 + more.
• Interviewed, photographed, and promoted farmers and food markers through vendor profiles.

The inaugural Steering Committee of Slow Money NYC was made up of four volunteers. We were motivated by the belief that the foundation for a just, healthy, and sustainable economy is a strong local food system. After the Entrepreneur Showcase and Resource Exchange in May of 2011, we worked to open all levels of investment towards local food and farming.

• Beneville Studios creates one-of-a-kind, custom artwork for exclusive clientele. Projects are commissioned for landmark occasions in clients’ lives. Each project is unique and tailored to recipient.
• Established studio rates and project billing structure. Budgets ranged up to 7 figures, and projects were completed within 3-12 months, depending on scale.
• Set-up internal systems for payroll, charging credit cards, vendor payments, and monthly project billing.
• Managed employee issues and scheduling; also freelance artist recruitment, negotiation, scheduling.
• Engaged project leads after initial meetings. Wrote proposals, outlining ideas, schedule, payments to potential clients.
• Communicated project expectations, budget and timeframe with clients throughout work.
