Working with Professor Steven G. Louie, I studied topological systems using ab initio methods such as density functional theory (DFT). I performed calculations on supercomputers using Quantum ESPRESSO, Wannier90, and several other tools to study the topological properties of the system Bi4Te3.Moreover, I studied transition metal dichalcogenides under pressure using GW-BSE methods.

I studied X-ray diffraction in metal thin films using a home-built tabletop setup. I additionally developed a code to perform simulations, using the two-temperature model (TTM) with temperature-dependent coefficients, to simulate these experiments. Further, I studied biophysical systems using pump-probe spectroscopy and wrote code to analyze the spectroscopic signatures of bacteria using principal component analysis.

Working with professors Milivoj Belic and Siu Chin, I extensively studied the nonlinear Schrodinger hierarchy using mathematical and numerical tools. I wrote massively parallel code for both CPU and GPU clusters (in C), as well as several libraries in MATLAB and Python. I additionally used several theoretical methods such as the Darboux transformation to study these systems. Major contributions include the development of the Peak Height Formula for the nonlinear Schrodinger hierarchy. My research in this area has led to 10 peer-reviewed publications.
