Oversaw projects completion and provided India Engineers with ongoing coaching and feedback on the completed projects.Major accomplishments: * Created fourteen (14) continuous improvement / VAVE suggestions. One of the implemented suggestions included optimization of the parts layout for punching resulted in 50% copper scrap reduction, and over $80K annual material saving;* Initiated and implemented five new Best Practice and Work Instructions documents for Engineering department and manufacturing operations.

Job responsibilities included design, development and reliability testing of high-end printers paper-feed mechanical subsystems from initial design concept to production. Responsible for scheduling, ordering and inspecting parts for the printer prototypes, maintaining parts tracking spreadsheet, collaborating with component engineers, model shop, metrology and tooling vendors in process of product development. · Designed multi-purpose feeder for one of the best workgroup color laser printers introduced by the company (C792 Series). The printer was successfully implemented in production and received numerous industry praises for its outstanding speed, print quality, customization options, and ease of use. The printer was tested by PCWorld Lab and named their recommended choice workgroup printer in 2010.· Resolved over 60 issues that were recorded in the company’s problem tracking system for one of the pre-production printers allowing the unit to go to production as scheduled. Most of the resolved issues were related to the printer’s functionality, reliability, and appearance. · Took responsibility to oversee and coach Lexmark global design team in Philippines. Conducted a series of online training conference call workshops for over 20 engineers. The workshop topics included best design practices and US Design and Drafting standards. The training resulted in team’s engineering skills enhancement and substantial improvement in the quality of the drawings.

Executed large number and variety of projects involving advanced technology development, new products introduction, productivity and quality improvement. · Implemented over $3 million product cost take out projects by redesigning appliance components, identifying and qualifying new competitive suppliers on current products. · Managed up to 15 projects at a time from concept to implementation by forming and leading cross-functional teams for project scoping, evaluation plan development, prototyping, scheduling, reliability testing, problems resolution, technical reviews, and pilot runs.· Successfully developed a prototype design of the industry first revolutionary gas cooktop incorporating multiple advanced technology features such as formed glass top, digital controls, and a multi-valve.· Designed numerous consumer interface components for energy-efficient refrigerators exceeding Marketing requirements. All created components have been successfully used in GE production since 2001. · Submitted 3 publications and applied for 2 patents on the inventions creating new strategic product features, cost reduction opportunities for the business, and protecting company interests in emerging technologies.· Trained over 150 GE engineers and CAD designers as a part of the company’s Engineering Development Program.
