I am a communications professional with 5+ years of experience in media relations, internal communications and crisis management. I've had the chance to work across several industries, including non-profit, tech, education and politics. At the 9/11 Memorial & Museum, I oversaw the institution's onsite media program, managing 200+ onsite filming requests annually from news media, as well as film and television productions. I developed a thoughtful approach to storytelling that led to the successful placement of local and national news pieces and drove the production of the org's Instagram TV series "Stories of Hope". Other facets of my position included writing executive talking points, reviewing public-facing materials for consistent brand voice, and acting as a spokesperson in media interviews.At TPT, I continued to build on my storytelling approach, focused on advancing company priorities while balancing the needs of stakeholders with an emphasis on clear, compelling communication. With this in mind, I helped secure coverage in education, lifestyle, and business publications highlighting TPT's thought leadership and diverse community of educators. Further on the thought leadership front, I contributed to the development and execution of the company's thought leadership strategy, and worked on a cross-functional team that managed TPT's presence at speaking engagements. My role also included writing data reports, writing and managing submissions for company awards (TPT is one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies 2023!), and collaborating with TPT's social team.
