Worked with parents throughout the state whose students were in the college planning process or who themselves wanted to learn more about the education system in the US to help their student navigate a college going identity. Conducted presentation in English and Spanish as requested. Collaboratively created presentation materials both formal classroom type with presentation but less formal and more conducive to discussion, chats or charlas.

Informed DuPage Businesses about WIOA grants (up to $25,000 in training grant dollars) available to them to help facilitate hiring a strong workforce. Also, offered On-the-Job Training (OJT) that helped pay up to 50% of salary for new hires for up to 6 months. Worked with job seekers to match their skills and industry interests with businesses. Partnered with hiring managers to determine workforce needs. Reviewed resumes and conducted mock interviews for younger candidates. Researched companies to identify job opportunities for job seekers. Contacted companies in every sector face-to-face, email and or phone. Attended and or arranged meetings, conferences and or hiring events as needed.

Provided resource information throughout Illinois via phone, email and website to families caring for and or individuals with I/DD,Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities for just under a year.

Helped implement the Affordable Care Act rollout with outreach, education and enrollment in Medicaid and Marketplace plans in the individual market from 2013 through 2015 through a Non-Profit in Pilsen targeting monolingual Spanish speaking individuals.

Experience in Non-Profit sector most in HIV/AIDS education, prevention and direct services for about 18 years. Started as a volunteer in High School. Provided HIV testing, outreach and education. Last position held was Executive Director and oversaw operations, funding, stakeholders involvement, program oversight and fundraising, increasing agency budget by $250k.
