Growing up in the time that I did, I have been astounded by the limitless bounds of technology and how much it has helped nearly every facet of life. From being connected with family members across the globe to automation of monotonous work, technology has been at the forefront of conversations since the 21st century. I can still remember the old white Dell PC my parents had and thinking to myself this is amazing but what if it was better.Along with my affinity for computers and software, I also developed great leadership and team skills at a young age. I started with Cub Scouts, which was a nice change of pace, and eventually became an Eagle Scout through years of learning and teaching as both a patrol leader and an assistant senior patrol leader. Along with scouting, I was a section leader in marching band, manager of the swim team, and member of the varsity scholars bowl team.After my busy teenage life, I came to K-State as a Computer Engineer. As the semesters went by though, I began to realize I had a much stronger attachment to the coding side of Computer Engineering and noticed myself perfecting coding projects before even beginning electrical assignments. I joined the AI club on campus to do more coding and leaving even less time for the electrical side. So, in the spring semester of my junior year, I switched to Computer Science to hone my craft in the art of software engineering. I dedicated myself to my studies to catch up to my peers and have loved every second of it. Through my coursework and extracurricular activities, I have found myself particularly enjoying working with web development and artificial intelligence.Out of school, I joined Commerce Bank's Developer Acceleration Program (DAP). I got to be onboarded with a full-stack credential management console using Vue, Java, and SQL Server. After the onboarding I was able to experience multiple different teams and their environments. I got to join the Online Banking team and work with their C# library and practiced my agile development. My final step of the journey was the Middleware team. I worked to help secure and maintain legacy java code. I also began working with Kafka and some architecting with that. The connections and experiences I got from Commerce are invaluable to me.That leads us to today, I have started my own company, Strider AI LLC, to help small businesses in the local area (KCMO). I am currently working on networking and building out a foundation to make it easy to connect with clients!
