I have graduated with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Zoology in 2015 (University of Otago), a Certificate in Animal Management in 2016 (Unitec institute of Technology), a Postgraduate Diploma of Science with Distinction in Zoology in 2018 (University of Otago), and most recently a Master of Science degree in Zoology in 2021 (University of Otago). My postgraduate research has involved population studies of longfinned and shortfinned eels at the Sinclair Wetlands (2018) and an investigation into the impacts of stormwater runoff on the lakeshore invertebrate communities of Lake Wanaka and Wakatipu (2019-2020).Throughout my studies and work experiences I have developed excellent field work and advisory capabilities. I have exceptional report writing, data analysis and communication/presentation skills, as well as efficient project planning and management skills, backed by a strong self-directed work ethic. I am hardworking, friendly and passionate about kaitiakitanga for our environment. I am a very quick learner that takes immense pride in my work and have a strong desire to produce work that benefits both the environment and New Zealand communities. I have worked in a wide variety of different fields developing many different skills in the workplace and throughout my studies, not only in an applied sense but in communication and engagement with mana whenua, the public and various agency stakeholders.
