I’m Gail Smith, Jesus follower, freelance copywriter, encourager, pray-er, dreamer…My life is based on the belief that we have a B-I-I-I-G God for whom nothing is impossible… (Matthew 19:26). …And my greatest desire is to use the gifts God has given me – writing, encouragement, prayer, mercy–and faith–to help Christian humanitarian organizations fulfill their call to “bind up the brokenhearted, proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.” Isaiah 61:1. While traveling overseas for short-term mission trips to Guyana, Uganda and Israel, the LORD broke my heart for His people. He gave me a deep compassion and love for them, for their countries and their cultures, as well as a strong desire to help make a difference in their lives, even from halfway around the globe. At the leading of the Holy Spirit, I began my freelance copywriting business with the intent of coming alongside of Christian organizations who are doing humanitarian work to help them fulfill their call to help meet the needs of those living in desperation.Having served in mission work, I "get" what you do and why you do it. I can speak your language, thus I can write about your work effectively. The copywriting training I have received through American Writers and Artists Inc., combined with the wide variety of writing I've done over the years, will be invaluable in writing copy that will paint a picture that will draw readers into your story, help them visualize the need, then tug at their heartstrings to evoke an emotional response, resulting in tangible support in any number of ways - from sending a check to adopting a child - to intangible support such as storming the heavens.
