During my 8-year tenure with Dr Pham, I managed all facets of the business side of dental administration. I was solely responsible for scheduling all appointments for the doctor and hygienists to ensure every day ran smoothly. My duties also included composing insurance narratives with all necessary attachments for timely payments. It was necessary to thoroughly understand dual coverage with primary and secondary insurances and correctly file claims with accurate coordination of benefits. I closely monitored and managing all aging reports, claims and appeals. I posted insurance payments daily to correlate correctly with EOBs. I submitted pre-treatment estimates and drafted financial arrangements for in house or third-party financing options prior to patient’s appointments.I was also in charge of account receivables, recall / hygiene coordinating and treatment planning. Additionally, my duties included all social media and marketing. Quite often I relied upon my license as a Registered Dental Assistant. I frequently took radiographs, obtained impressions, and poured models so I could fabricate occlusal guards, bleaching trays and retainers while working alongside the doctor.

In the mid 90's, I would drive to each doctor's office to pickup their cassette tapes, take them home and transcribe... then drive back to their offices the next day to deliver the documents and do it all again.Fast forward to 2023 ~ You might say this field has changed just a little bit. I never have to get out of my chair now 😊
