As Assistant Golf Professional, I maintain order at the golf course and ensure everyone's needs are met. I run the tee sheet, teach golf lessons, and make sure our staff is in a position to succeed throughout the day while checking in guests and choreographing the first tee. I occupy a leadership role in operations, working directly under the head pro and GM. Policy is communicated by myself to staff and patrons, and I set the standard for employee conduct. I coordinate between many moving parts and spend a large portion of my work week problem solving. In an administrative context, I run the marshal program at Jackson Park, the most robust of any municipal course in the area. This includes hiring, scheduling, and agenda. Since fall 2022, I oversee the usage of Toptracer at Jackson, and grew revenue by 46% in my first full year in this role. I teach private lessons weekly, as well as a Sunday junior clinic. During the summer, I lead Jackson’s junior camp on 3/5 days, which generated over $40,000 in revenue during 2023, increasing to $44,000 in 2024. I spend roughly 20 hours a week teaching between May and August.I run tournaments for our local golf clubs and serve as a point of contact between them and our administrative office. I perform the daily cash audit and maintain awareness of quarterly and yearly performance and goals. I assist in managing shop inventory and ordering products for the pro shop. During 2023, Jackson Park’s yearly revenue grew by 13%, surpassing 4 million dollars for the first time.

As a partial coverage observer I spent over 90 days in the field sampling catch aboard different boats in federally managed fisheries such as halibut and sablefish IFQ. While underway, I was responsible for creating a randomized sample design that was both rigorous and defensible. Sampling activities included: fish ID, enumeration, sex determination, length and weight measurement, as well as dissection for specimen retrieval.

Greens maintenance including: mow, seed, aerate, repair divots, and change cups. Arbor trees to increase play area. Water grounds and play test. Small motor repair and general irrigation system upkeep. Clubhouse responsibilities include reserving tee times, COVID safety practices and genial customer service.

(Part Time, 20 hours/ week). Assisted community ecology research across Mt. Rainer. Stored data in excel and analyzed using R Studio. Conducted independent research project on spotted owl population, presented at 2018 UW research symposium. Literature review, presentation development, weekly meetings, oral discourse. Remote field work constructing seed traps, hiking, camping, sampling for data collection and retrieval. Includes one week of paid work hiking Mt. Rainier for sampling purposes.

Seasonal summer commercial fishery. Operated salmon gill net gear as part of small crew. Thirty-five plus days at sea, typically 18-20 hour work days. Operated hydraulics, respectfully harvested sockeye and chum salmon. Cooked at sea, while maintaining clean and organized quarters. Proficient with knots and lines. Lift 75+ pounds. Climbed and carried gear up 50-foot ladders. Fileted salmon. Hung and repaired net. Navigated vessel, wheel watch while skipper slept.

(Part to Full Time, between 20-40 hours/week). Research Experience for Undergrads via Seattle Community Colleges. Paid internship with full literature review, study design, sampling process, and data evaluation. Month long winter cruise in the Pacific Ocean collecting samples and assisting Dr. Vera Trainor (UW). Presentation at 2016 UW research symposium. Led following year’s cohort on orientation cruise viewing plankton samples.
