The Student Services Budget Committee (SSBC), is mandated by Subchapter B, Section 54.514 of the Texas Education Code to “advise the administration of The University of Texas at Austin on the type, level, and expenditure of compulsory fees for student services collected at the university.”• Voted on the allocation of the $41 million student services budget used to fund university departments and initiatives.• Coordinated a request for a 2.6% increase in the committee’s funding from university administration.

The Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) within the Executive Office of the President coordinates the federal government’s efforts to improve, preserve, and protect America’s public health and environment.In my role on the Climate Resilience and Buildings team, I contributed to, edited, and finalized the now released “Compendium of Federal Nature-Based Resources for Coastal Communities, States, Tribes, and Territories”; authored speaking points and memos for the Chair of the Council on Environmental Quality; researched federal funding availability for climate resilience measures; edited Presidential Proclamations; worked to improve the Biden administration’s Climate and Economic Justice Screening Tool; helped inform the federal government’s approach toward environmental justice; and collaborated with federal agency stakeholders to implement the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act all while managing multiple projects and conflicting deadlines.

The Archer Fellowship Program provides UT System students with the opportunity to live, learn and intern in our nation’s capital while making progress toward their degree.During my time as an Archer Fellow, I interned at the White House with the Council on Environmental Quality.

Innovations for Peace and Development (IPD) is a student-driven research lab that provides mentored opportunities for interdisciplinary, policy-relevant research on global conflict and peacebuilding, foreign assistance, poverty alleviation, good governance, and human rights. ​IPD has worked in collaboration with the World Bank, African Development Bank, UN Peacebuilding Fund, US Agency for International Development (USAID), US Department of Defense, and many other non-governmental organizations in the US and abroad. • As a member of the Data4Environment team, I conducted historical research on Latin American green parties and their candidates, policies, and election outcomes

The Deputy Advocacy Director aides in managing the Student Government Policy Directors and Civic Engagement Agencies. As well, the Deputy assists in accomplishing the goals and policy initiatives of the Student Government President, Vice-President, and Executive Board.• Directed a team of six Policy Directors in completing a portfolio of 14 initiatives set by the Student Body President.

Longhorn Legislative Aides is a program designed to take in 21 first-year students and provide them with an opportunity to work directly with the Executive Board in Student Government, along with other leaders on this campus, to improve the university.• Served as an intern to the Student Body President and assisted with legislative research and policy writing.

Launch with GS is Goldman Sachs' $1 billion commitment to invest in diverse-led companies and Investment managers, grounded in its data-driven thesis that diverse teams drive strong returns.• Directed a project that sourced 70 new diverse-founded companies for the firm’s $1 Billion Launch With GS initiative• Prepared a report, for a firm Managing Director, on the entrepreneurial landscape and investment opportunities in Texas

Irys is an emerging civic tech company based in San Antonio, Texas. Through products, such as the Irys Community App which simplifies the 311 report-making processes, Irys hopes to improve interactions between residents and their communities -- all while supporting data-driven decision making for local governments.• Led a market research project, for a new product, which has successfully identified over 10,000 potential clients.• Spearheaded the creation of a new product proposal, complete with details on the product’s design and budget, which was taken up by the companies’ CEO.

Next Century Cities is a nonprofit organization that supports mayors and community leaders across the country as they seek to ensure that everyone has fast, affordable and reliable internet access. • Independently led research on the economic and public health benefits of expanding broadband access during a pandemic.•Analyzed data on broadband usage and cost, using R, and compiled my findings into articles and internal reports.

The Honors Business Association (HBA) at the University of Texas at Austin serves as the official student organization for the Business Honors Program at the McCombs School of Business. Since its inception in 1980, HBA has provided academic, professional, social, and philanthropic opportunities for its members. • Coordinating monthly community service opportunities with local Austin-area nonprofits.

The Google Public Policy Fellowship program offers undergraduate, graduate, and law students interested in Internet and technology policy the opportunity to spend the summer contributing to the public dialogue on these issues by working at public interest organizations at the forefront of debates on broadband and access policy, open government, government surveillance, data security, and more.•Selected as the youngest in my cohort and one of only two undergraduate fellows out of a cohort of 22 fellows.• Authored a filing submitted to the Federal Communications Commission detailing the need to improve the Commission’s nationwide broadband data collection.• Conducted legal research in the areas of artificial intelligence, data privacy, telecommunications, and anti-trust for FCC filings, future court filings, internal documents, blogposts, and congressional resource documents.• Participated in meetings with congressional staff, industry representatives, consumer advocates, and other stakeholders to formulate a plan to improve U.S. broadband access.

Since 1966, the Senate of College Councils has served as the official voice for students in academic affairs at The University of Texas at Austin. As one of three Legislative Student Organizations at the university, Senate works to represent the needs, concerns, and opinions of students through the 20 College Councils. The Senate of College Councils is jointly sponsored by the university’s Provost and Vice President for Student Affairs.• Organized and moderated an Academic Policy Town Hall attended by 40 students with the purpose of collecting student opinion on various university-wide initiatives.• Served on the Academic Policy Committee.

The Social Entrepreneurship Learning Lab (SELL) Fellowship is an intensive sixteen-week program for undergraduate students who want to create meaningful social ventures for their community. The SELL Fellowship consists of two semester-long stages: the Ideator, and Incubator. The Ideator teaches social entrepreneurship basics and helps students form an idea to solve a social problem they care about. In the Incubator, students launch a proof of concept and flesh out their venture. • Built the framework for a venture that provides voters with easy to understand candidate information for local elections. • Determined the venture’s market opportunity and niche focus through market sizing analysis.• Developed 3 beneficiary profiles to better tailor solutions through beneficiary interviews, and case-based research.
