Current• Supervise and lead a team of 5 accounting and 2 payroll professionals, providing training, mentorship, and strategic guidance to enhance individual and team performance. Successfully promoted 1 team member to Manager of Accounting through targeted leadership development, fostering career growth, and ensuring effective succession planning.• Direct the monthly close process for 5 distinct company divisions, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and compliance. Oversee internal payroll processing for 1,500 employees, develop multimillion-dollar budget projections for operating expenses and capital expenditures, and spearhead the fiscal year-end close process.• Review and approve timely flux analysis of variances between actual results and budgets, delivering actionable recommendations for corrective measures, including optimizing accrual timing, adjusting budgets based on actual costs, and refining account structures to enhance efficiency. Partner with the Executive Management Team to present and discuss financial performance, insights, and strategic recommendations.• Assumed responsibility for internal payroll in March 2023, managing and optimizing the process by implementing robust procedures with effective internal controls, resulting in a significant reduction in processing errors, and enhancing cross-functional collaboration between Finance, Accounting, and HR.
