Due to struggles while finding out I was going to be a single father, I lost my job at a large corporate telecommunications company. Faced with the challenge of providing for my daughter while being present in her life, I saw an opportunity to turn my circumstances around. I identified a need for repurposing electronic devices, particularly cell phones, and with limited funds for marketing, I launched Phones In2 Cash. I chose the name strategically, knowing that "cash" would draw interest and attention. We repaired devices and purchased mobile phones for reuse, which not only helped our community but also reduced e-waste. Through determination and hard work, I was able to grow the business to multiple locations.Shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic, a new opportunity emerged from Phones In2 Cash: OTR Mobile. Recognizing the critical need for unlimited internet access to rural areas and for mobile customers, I began repurposing data from large carriers to serve these underserved communities. This initiative allowed us to provide reliable internet to those in need, further extending our impact. Through this journey we have service over 30,000 customers. My journey from losing my job to building successful businesses has been fueled by resilience and a commitment to making a positive difference. Through perseverance and innovation, I have created ventures that support my family and contribute meaningfully to society.
