With a track record of successful ventures and innovative projects, Robert is dedicated to using new financial instruments to fund world-changing business ideas.As a pioneer in smart cities, Robert led the University of Toronto's Information Technology Design Centre, recognized as Alias/Wavefront's first Centre of Excellence. He also directed for Brian Boigon's thinkthinkthink Inc. a groundbreaking social networking site featuring the Black Eyed Peas for Sony, Motorola, and Levi Strauss, and his online initiative to improve Toronto's transit system was praised as a breakthrough business idea by Harvard Business Review.With extensive experience in global logistics, aviation, design, and simulation technologies, Robert has worked in the Americas, the Middle East, Africa, Australia, Asia, and Europe. He designed market-disrupting VC-400 smart terminals early in his career and was part of the sales team for the first production Dash-8 aircraft while at Boeing/de Havilland.Robert's talks on design innovation have been featured at prestigious events such as MacWorld, the United Nations, and the Globe Conference. He has also been a National Newspaper Award nominated columnist and has presented at the United Nation's Sustainable Cities conference in New York.Robert holds an honours degree in Architecture from the University of Toronto, an MBA from the Ivey School of Business, and Lieutenant -Governor's Award for Academic Excellence. His academic background informs his strategic approach to solving global challenges.In his free time, Robert founded the BARKED Project, a passion project that documents and helps preserve the world's oldest, most majestic trees and forests. His dedication to environmental conservation and his innovative mindset make him a true visionary leader.
