    During this time I was responsible for the Australian Government’s MyChild.gov.au website, as well as the online Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA) programme, a 2013 election commitment to trial online language learning to four year old children in preschools. The ELLA programme involved the development of 35 game-based apps for tablet devices for preschool children to be exposed to a language other than English.I was also engaged to manage the development of the new national IT system to support the introduction of the National Quality Framework (NQF) for Child Care from 1 January 2012. On completion the system was provided by the Commonwealth to the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority, the new Statutory Authority responsible for the NQF.

This was a large business unit that developed and maintained business systems and software applications that support the $2 billion VET sector. I was responsible for supporting multiple financial business systems including their related infrastructure and databases. I was also responsible for leading multiple technical development projects using skills to plan, design and implement effective e-business solutions, and to provide advice to VET business groups on technical matters in relation to their business systems.During this engagement I was responsible for 60+ development staff and a total annual project budget of $12 million. I was responsible for 3 large capital development projects including the re-architecture and redevelopment of all IT systems supporting the VET sector into a sharedservices model. I also delivered major Government initiatives in the Education portfolio including Apprenticeships programs and Language, Literacy and Numeracy Education programs.
