Registered Nurse
Current• Provide acute medical care for a variety of medical and telemetry patients in a large, urban-located teaching hospital. Utilize telemetry monitoring and interpretation at a 4:1 nurse/patient ratio. Unit care includes monitoring patients postoperatively, including cardiac catheterizations and ablations. Also includes peripheral and central line care, blood draws, telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, medication therapy, post cardiac catheterization care, patient education, and multi-disciplinary care plan assessment and implementation. Create versatile relationships with core staff nurses and ancillary staff. Utilize critical thinking and problem solving to manage patient care in a variety of units with varying policies and procedures. Able to successfully provide care to patients within several different areas of the hospital and effectively make expertise useful to a full variety of medical, surgical, and telemetry patients. Interact and maintain professional relationships with managerial staff of each unit within float pool.
