The experience of managing my own startup myself gave me a deep understanding of marketing in the digital world, while working with real-world constraints.

As the founding marketing manager, I setup the marketing team to drive relevant admissions and improve brand awareness of the university across India. Through digital marketing, PR, social media and strategic partnerships in Academic Year (AY) 2019-20, the team met 97% of the enrolment objective while increasing student count by 85%, with students joining from 15+ Indian states and 5 foreign countries.

I facilitated the Asia-Pacific quality improvements for Instrument Panel & Console for the existing Ford vehicles. I analysed the information collected from the customer which defined the quality improvements for the product. Based on that, I worked with the plants, engineers and the suppliers to improve processes, quality checks and design. Given the global nature of Ford's vehicles, my role was essential in maintaining a link between different plants and the various improvements that were being made consistently.

I worked on the new diesel variant of the Territory and developed the pillar trims to reduce the noise inside the cabin. I collaborated with the NVH engineer to identify sound paths and developed various NVH packs for attribute trials. Once identified, I lead the discussions and parts with the supplier, organised parts for functional builds in the plant and released the new parts in the BOM within the program timing. I was awarded for my contribution in providing a quiet cabin to the customer.My second project was the role of door trims and hard trims engineer for the Ranger Value program. As the sole person responsible for the task, I identified unique requirements for the markets and benchmarked competitor vehicles in the region. I designed a one-piece door trim at an affordable cost, while meeting safety requirements. I coordinated the sourcing discussions internally with cost estimating, purchasing and finance. In collaboration with the designer, supplier and manufacturing, I delivered the door trims and the hard trims to meet the production objective. I was awarded for my contribution to the program.

I executed several design and development projects for automotive seating structures and interior trim parts. I interacted with the client to gather the requirements in terms of function, position in the vehicle and ergonomics. At the technical level, I concentrated on manufacturing, assembly and tooling feasibility of the design, following acceptable sheet metal and plastic design practices.My technical skills also include tolerance stack-up of bench seats for a US seat manufacturer. I led the calculations for weight reduction and torsion rigidity of a test Automobile space frame. Apart from the 3D design, I have also performed calculations for engineering problems to determine allowable force, torsion rigidity, etc on compartment lids during operation and misuse. I am proficient in the use of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). I have managed a team of eight members for a seating systems project and planned the resources, apart from being the single-point-of-contact with the client. I was adjudged “Employee of the month” for my contributions in leading this team and client interaction. I also led a project team for design of Special Purpose Machines parts and co-ordinated with the on-site engineer. I have worked with diverse teams based in Europe, US and India.

I modeled and detailed several seating system components, mainly floor brackets and rails, for multiple projects. Subsequently, I documented existing component geometry and materials for easy selection in upcoming projects.

I did my thesis on "Development of Alternative Concepts for Frames of Trucks” for internal competency display to a German truck manufacturer, using CATIA V5 and Ansys workbench.During my thesis, I researched existing and emerging truck frame design and manufacturing technologies for future projects. Subsequently, I benchmarked and selected suitable design methodologies for the development of the truck chassis side rail to increase torsion stiffness, while decreasing manufacturing costs. I designed and analysed four cross-sections for the side rail, to determine the torsion stiffness under typical load conditions. Finally, I optimised the design based on the results of the torsion analysis, resulting in a 50% lighter and 25% stiffer chassis side rail.
