A few of my current responsibilities include:• Processing work orders and prioritizing jobs.• Planning workloads within the art department and determining the appropriate tools and equipment.• Reviewing work orders and communicating with department heads to assess work needs for the day.• Successfully managing a team of production artists to meet or exceed production deadlines.• Assume the duties of production artist when needed to expedite production work flow.

• Preflight and troubleshoot customer supplied files and graphics to make color separations (4 color process and spot colors).• Prepare and review digital art files for accurate content, color separation, registration, bleeds, trapping and cutbacks suitable for output to film for plate making.• Produce art files suitable for digital devices such as large format printers to be used in the creation of prototype packaging.• Acquire structure files from cutting die department for use in the creation of artwork.• Recreate existing rasterized customer artwork to high quality vector art.• Output files to imagesetters, set line screens, resolution and other press-specific settings.• Operate and assist in maintenance of department hardware.• Efficiently multi task projects and complete jobs on tight deadlines.
