Patricia Marshall is the founder and owner of Luminare Press, a hybrid publishing company located in Eugene, OR. Luminare offers assisted self-publishing and hybrid services, including manuscript assessment, editing, proofreading, custom cover and interior book design, book marketing, print-on-demand and offset printing, and worldwide book distribution. Her love of good writing and editing extends to the professional presentation of the written word, whether on paper or screen. The energy and focus she brings to her projects ensure that her clients’ books are professionally presented from cover to cover. Patricia has a degree in journalism from the University of Oregon, and an MFA in Creative Non-Fiction from Goucher College in Baltimore. Prior to starting Luminare Press in 2011, she was the editor of Forest Magazine, a nationally distributed environmental magazine. She was a founding board member of Wordcrafters in Eugene, a literary organization providing retreats and writing classes, a Writers in the School program, and support to writers in all stages of their careers. She was previously a member of Burley Design Cooperative, the largest manufacturing cooperative in the United States, and is currently writing a book about that organization.
