As educational liaison, responsibilities include creating a plan with parents, students, and school advisors which will best help the student continue with schooling while undergoing eating disorder treatment. It also includes offering students support in a wide range of educational classes while undergoing treatment. As a counselor, I am also there to offer support and teach classes in a variety of therapy skills. All this while helping students with food choices and daily tasks. As milieu manager, responsibilities included overseeing the day to day operations of an eight bed residential facility. This included supervising counseling staff by creating schedules and offering training and support, while hiring new staff as needed. Daily responsibilities included doing weekly, monthly and quarterly reports in order to ensure the facility was maintained for health and safety requirements, order and maintain supplies for the facility, and complete weekly safety drills with the clients and staff. As part of my role, I was also responsible for processing payroll and training certifications, as well as finalizing monthly credit card statements.

As part of my role I strengthened parent-teacher and parent-child communication by holding regular parent-teacher conferences and encouraged parents to take an active role in their child’s education. Other responsibilities included chapel coordinator, choir and drama teacher, after school tutor, and serving on the curriculum team while preparing the school for accreditation.
