About Pamela Taggart, Cts
Passionate VP of Content Development at AVIXA with a proven track record of driving innovation and growth in the AV industry. Skilled in strategic planning, relationship management, and team leadership. Thrives in complex, dynamic environments, adept at pivoting strategies for success in evolving markets. Now with less corporate speak:I am not one to sit around and wait for direction – that has been a guiding principle since childhood, which thankfully I survived. Luckily, this mindset is much better applied to the working world. It has prompted a career that regularly places me into complex situations that need ambitious direction and outcomes, and don’t have a predetermined path to get there. This is the grey area in which I thrive. Some examples:Current position involves pivoting our association role and product set in a current and post-Covid world, and managing a newly organized team assembled from several different prior functions toward a new common goal set.Previous role in Strategic Relationships involved growing the AV market as a whole (no small task) – and led to programs with HTNG, EUNIS, AVUG, ALSD, and various other wonderful organizations that were mutually beneficial and introduced buyers to sellers in a cooperative, non-transactional way.European Dev Director involved a small team and a slightly negative perception on the continent that needed to be turned on it’s head, which we did in a short time through extreme presence and dedication to the market that led to 28% growth in paid membership, 62% growth in reach, and doubling revenue (as a sign of value delivered). In each case I analyze the info that is available, collaborate, iterate, and get something done – hopefully with a little humor along the way. This has led to an amazing path thus far, and I remain excited for the challenge!
Listed skills include Training, Management, Program Management, Video Conferencing, and 46 others.

Senior Director Of Strategic Relationships
As Senior Director of Strategic Relationships globally I found the unique intersections between AVIXA and partner organizations, opening new pathways for the AV industry into markets where we can transcend the transactional relationships of the past. The resulting HTNG Conference at ISE – joining AV and Hospitality experts under one roof to create new insight – is just one example. Similar relationships with Education, Retail, Sports, and other vertical market groups where AV is a vital component allowed our industries to come together in new ways. This allowed AV a direct path to decision makers not filtered through a procurement process, and allowed clients to directly share feedback into the AV industry for better outcomes - increasing the prospects and awareness of the AV industry overall as measured by PR metrics and industry growth.
Senior Director Of Development Europe
As Senior Director of Development Europe, I helped AV companies identify needs, goals, or strategic priorities that align with what AVIXA can offer. Matching AVIXA to needs and services we grew membership in Europe by 28% and doubled revenue. During this time I essentially acted as the business unit director for our Europe region accountable for strategy, budget, organizational structure (banking, following local HR law, etc), recruiting the team, managing operations, directing sales, and representing AVIXA in the region, while delivering on growth targets in membership and revenue. Some things we are proud of:-increased paid membership by 28% (overall membership increased by 62% including unpaid members)-doubled revenue-pioneered a data-based method to benchmark staffing, budget, and growth potential in Europe – method adopted globally for all regions by AVIXA-opened a new headquarters in Munich, and grew from a team of 3 to 12 with demandThis was a new position, reporting to the Chief Global Officer and providing feedback into the Senior Leadership Team. It was created specifically to answer demand to step up our operation in Europe. By building capacity, implementing a strategic PR/marketing campaign, launching association programs, and through numerous speaking appearances, member visits, and leveraging our support network, we reversed the prior perception that Europe was under-served by the association. This new positive image and the great team set the region up for future success. It was a challenge, and also just great fun with amazing people!
Director Of International Education
In addition to the duties of the previous position, as Director of International Education I worked with the other Directors in the International Department deciding overall strategy for our efforts outside the USA. I was individually responsible for strategy and budget for events and was accountable for the P&L for events in all regions outside the USA. While continuing to manage the international education team, I also took on contract negotiation for private courses, paid instructors, translation companies, and negotiated cooperative programs with partners.
Manager, International Education Programs
As Manager of International Education I led a dispersed team of 5 direct reports in 5 different countries, plus a support staff of contractors located globally. Together we conducted all meeting and event planning, and delivered all conferences, networking events, and educational programs globally for InfoComm outside of the USA. This included conferences and education at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), Integrated Systems Russia (ISR), InfoComm China, InfoComm India, Integrate (Australia), Tecnomultimedia InfoComm (Colombia, Brazil, Mexico), and additional events. During this time the team:-developed and launched 10 new conference programs in support of expositions across the globe-provided content in 9+ languages (English, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Italian, Dutch, German, Hindi, and Russian)-standardized the project management process for events -quadrupled capacity in non-English education products-advised in search, customization, and launch of LCMS and LMS systems-localized courses to meet regional electrical code, culture, and practice via engagement from volunteer Subject Matter Experts (SME)-launched AVIXA’s webinar program outside of the USA with single webinar attendance up to 700 attendees
