During this brief contract, my tasks included provisioning new employees, developing new OS deployment images, software distribution, and SCCM. I administered VCenter/ESX Systems, NetBackup, and oversaw the upgrade of Win2003 DC’s to Win2008.

Established and maintained a small call center. This involved managing Win2003, IIS, SQL, and Exchange. Additionally, I developed and maintained internal web services and reporting tools. Workstations were configured with XLite and PowerStudio. As the sole individual in this position, I handled all IT functions for the company.

Assisted in the consolidation and migration of stand-alone production SQL, Win2003 systems to VMWare (ESX).

Participated in a large-scale migration project for Fair Isaac through Streamside Professional Services, involving hardware, application, and data migration. The objective was to transfer full functionality and customer data from an unrestricted environment to a new SOCKS-compliant infrastructure for clients using Placements Plus and Custom Scoring Solutions products. This encompassed migrating all development code, modelers, repositories, and user data to new VM farms. Complex multi-terabyte SQL databases were creatively replicated and synchronized, ensuring seamless processing of hundreds of thousands of client records daily. Technologies employed in this endeavor included Virtual Studio 2005, SourceSafe, IIS (from version 5 to 6), SQL and PERL scripting, utilization of LiteSpeed and RedGate products for compression, Connect Direct, sniffing applications for necessary ports, reverse engineering tools, as well as Java, J#, ASP, and Blaze.

My duties encompassed generating test cases derived from existing MR’s/PCR’s, executing them, and delivering feedback/documentation to the development team. To streamline tracking and communication, I utilized Mercury Test Director and Lotus Notes.

Working on establishing a non-profit organization that operates online, aiming to enhance communication among businesses, schools, and families by utilizing modern technologies and devices. At the same time, I am involved in multiple consulting roles where I address and assess issues related to systems management, corporate security, continuous availability, Voice-Over-IP, wireless networking, clustering, and thin client deployments.

In my role as a technical lead and Subject Matter Expert (SME), I oversaw the design, maintenance, and progression of the emerging NT/Windows 2000 infrastructure, which encompassed over 2,200 servers serving more than 55,000 users. These servers hosted a range of services from basic file and print capabilities to complex systems such as IIS, Oracle, SQL, Exchange, Citrix, and Notes.Maintaining this environment necessitated stringent change control measures, thorough planning, meticulous documentation, adherence to established processes, and comprehensive interoperability and regression testing before implementing any modifications or introducing new applications. I was tasked with conceptualizing, evaluating, and implementing cost-effective solutions tailored to the enterprise's needs.My responsibilities extended to resource management, budgeting, cost analysis, and vendor negotiations. Additionally, I conducted hardware evaluations, performance testing, and justified server roles and hardware specifications based on cost and performance considerations. Standardizing operating systems and application loads, staging environments, and documenting processes were integral aspects of the role.Regular interaction with both peer and senior management, along with speaking engagements at quarterly NT Summits, was a key part of the position. Furthermore, I played a significant role in deploying a 300+ server Citrix farm for business unit applications, as well as leading server consolidation efforts and contributing to the creation and review of Corporate TPSP (Technology, Policy, Standards, and Procedures) and policies.

In this role, I oversaw the management and maintenance of existing production NT domains, focusing on domain and server consolidation with minimal user downtime. I also spearheaded the development and deployment of new security standards, backup procedures, and server-based virus protection protocols. Additionally, I provided light administration across multiple UNIX platforms. My daily responsibilities encompassed NT administrative tasks and addressing mission-critical LAN/WAN network connectivity issues in a diverse production environment incorporating Ethernet, Token, and FDDI technologies. Moreover, I managed IP addresses and provided customer support for networking-related issues.

As the project lead, I spearheaded the network design and migration initiative for a facility housing over 1400 users. This encompassed transitioning from WFW to NT Workstation across all desktops, upgrading from Office 4.3 and MS Mail to Office97 and Outlook. I orchestrated the implementation of DHCP and WINS, introduced a new network domain security policy, and devised unattended installation scripting for lab technicians. Additionally, I managed the conversion of Microsoft Mail post offices to Microsoft Exchange.

My responsibilities encompassed network design and implementation, primarily focusing on Novell and NT systems, alongside providing on-site customer support for hardware, software, and networking issues. Additionally, I conducted on-site training sessions. I also played a key role in implementing and supporting various Microsoft Server & Back Office applications, including Microsoft Exchange Server, Internet Information Server (IIS), and SQL Server.Moreover, I contributed to the development of company network security policies and established standards for network server directory structures and workstation configurations across the corporation. The role required extensive travel. Notably, I planned and executed the deployment of MS Exchange Server v4 for the corporation, including the migration of existing users from cc:Mail.

Mainly tasked with the on-site installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all servers and workstations within the Colorado LAN/WAN network. This involved testing, installing, and documenting LAN-based client/server applications, as well as complete hardware/software installation, maintenance, and upgrades for Netware 3.x, dial-up, and gateway servers, particularly in large LAN sites with over 100 users in a token-ring environment.Developed plans and coordinated technicians for the network upgrade of each bank, including both servers and workstations, on a site-by-site basis. Engaged in evaluating and implementing new products, and participated in rotating 24/7 support duties.
