Ms. Nelson is a water quality and water resources specialist. Her expertise involves Combined Sewer Overflows. water quality monitoring and assessment, NPDES permitting, stormwater management, pretreatment program development and compliance assistance, auditing, regulatory understanding and interpretation, Use Attainability Analysis, water quality standard development, and assessing legal and institutional issues affecting water resource and wastewater treatment projects. She is actively involved in water quality and water resource issues in the United States, and she assists clients with water quality control and management. Ms. Nelson has more than 34 years of diverse experience in both public and private environmental engineering as a project manager, project engineer and deputy program manager.Ms Nelson is currently serving as the Omaha CSO Program Environmental Management Team Lead for the Implementation of the $2 billion ProgramSome of Ms Nelson’s Omaha Combined Sewer Overflow Program Activities· Program Management for and Lead the development of the 2009 LTCP and 2014 LTCP Update· Program Management Implementation 2006-Present· Omaha CSO Deputy Program Manager with the title of LTCP Manager· Regulatory Lead for the CSO Program and responsible for ensuring the LTCP commitments are met.
