About Patrick Clark
Throughout my career, I’ve had a strong sense of curiosity and a passion for improvement that have always been at the forefront of my decisions. I’ve discovered that the intersection of deep customer understanding, creative problem solving, and business opportunity is where I thrive. I love (and have a track record of) grappling with a tough problem and drawing on seemingly unrelated information to create a solution. At Tesla, that meant playing a big role in taking the Destination Charging program from 0 to 1. In construction before that, it meant clearly understanding the client’s wants and needs and balancing those with budgets, timelines, build quality, and legal requirements. In both roles, I was able to create winning outcomes for all parties involved, whether it was a beautiful new home or a set of new charging stations.
Listed skills include Process Scheduler, Green Building, Customer Relations, Project Estimation, and 17 others.

Product Manager
I'm newly hired as Foster the City’s first dedicated Product Manager. My role is to take the app from MVP to thriving, robust and fully functional for our community. Great results coming soon!
Owner-Operator
TidyPop was started to design and ship products that create space through organization, consolidation, and reuse, reducing the cognitive load and emotional energy used in daily tasks.I perform all aspects of bringing novel products to market including ideation, prototyping, sourcing and samples, fulfillment, advertisement, inventory management, trademarking, etc. To date, that work has led to over 1,100 units sold of a completely novel product. • Worked from my partner's idea for a non-permanent cabinet label and designed the first prototype on Sketchup in under a minute, 2 hours of 3D printing later we had a functioning first iteration. • Established legal structure of company, Amazon seller account, website and trademark for goods through a mixture of research / self-service and professional service partners to ensure smooth operations and protections for the company and brand.• Locate overseas manufacturer and importer via online research, phone and email interviews, and RFQ’s which led to finding a highly efficient sourcing partner, low COGS and low input and coordination for me.• Launched and manage Amazon ad campaigns including monitoring performance, tweaking negative and positive keywords, budgets and target audiences, resulting in 9-month average CTR = 5.32%• Continue to explore and iterate on upcoming products via prototyping, pricing and market research to ensure successful product launches and increased bottom-line.
Program Manager - Powerwall
After launching, growing and stabilizing the Destination Charging program, I was pulled to the Powerwall team. My role encompassed complex stakeholder coordination and product development support, contributing significantly to the success of the initial Powerwall installations:• Ensured mutual understanding of applicable building codes and supplemental requirements by coordinating between fire / building officials and engineering resulting in the full sign-off of the first Powerwall installation in the US.• Provided vital installation-focused feedback by observing initial Powerwall installations, speaking with installers, and communicating to the product development team to ensure proper updates were made to future versions of the product.• Addressed early installation challenges through innovative solutions, including the creation of supplementary material packages and installation guides which allowed smoother, faster installations with less Tesla involvement.• Conducted data analysis to determine ideal candidates for initial installations, focusing on geographic suitability and customer requirements allowing for the best use of limited initial resources for maximum impact.
Program Manager - Destination Charging
As the first hire on the Destination Charging team, I spearheaded Tesla's objective to make convenient charging ubiquitous for their owners. In this multifaceted role, I utilized project, product, and program management skills.• Managed end-to-end partnership processes including outreach, program explanation, equipment logistics, installation, troubleshooting, and online documentation which grew the program from inception to over 1,500 destinations, of which I’m personally responsible for 400+.• Collaborated on the structure and incentives of the Destination Charging program, alongside contributing to marketing strategies, operational workflows, and program requirements which resulted in increased program understanding, adoption and growth.• Utilized data analysis to enhance network coverage and usage, modify program incentives, and address geographical charging gaps to ensure our owners had the smoothest driving experience possible• Forged robust partnerships with major hospitality brands like Hilton, IHG, and Hyatt, as well as large ownership groups by aligning their push for renewable initiatives with the ease of our program. This resulted in renewable initiative success, more places for Tesla owners to charge, and increased traffic to our partner sites.• Managed the development of a standalone Wall Connector pedestal by collaborating with a 3rd party manufacturer resulting in the speedy production of the pedestal for our partners and customers.
Ownership Advisor - Sales
I'm proud to have been part of the early sales efforts at Tesla. I got to experience firsthand the revolutionary impact Tesla and Model S had on the automotive world. The role included:- Selling vehicles, serving the customer, and being at the forefront of the disruptive sales model Tesla deployed.- Being in the tight feedback loop of what customers were concerned about, liked, disliked, had questions about, did or didn’t understand, etc. This continual feedback loop was part of the constant improvement and iteration that makes Tesla so great at what they do.
Owner-Operator
I took over my father’s construction company and revamped the legal structure (from proprietorship to S-Corp) and many of the processes and procedures. As a specialist in Modular / Pre-fab home installation, we were one of the very few companies in the region that had expertise in the field. Our reputation for quality work, integrity, and customer satisfaction allowed us to build great homes for many clients.
Site Supervisor/Foreman
While at Measure Up, I started in general labor and worked up to Journeyman/Foreman. I was a jack-of-all-trades, as well as supervising crews during all phases of construction (demo, grading, foundation, utilities, home setting, carpentry, painting, finishing, etc.), estimating jobs, making sure customers were knowledgeable and satisfied, and anything else required to get the job done.
