About Patrick Painter
Hi! My name is Patrick Painter and I am currently the Research Specialist at Nurture Nature Center (NNC). I assist NNC with their social science research.I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Oklahoma (OU) with a BA degree in International and Area Studies (Certification in Global Engagement), and minors in Climate Adaptation and European Studies. During my time at OU, I was heavily involved in the university's Model United Nations club; was hired as a undergraduate research assistant by the South Central Climate Adaptation Science Center, working on projects related to environmental justice and managed retreat; and interned with the Department of Governance, Innovation, and EU Policies in Arezzo, Italy, as part of my study abroad experience. I recently graduated from Lehigh University where I earned a MA degree in Environmental Policy Design. During my time at Lehigh, I completed coursework on environmental policy and sustainable development, and co-founded the Sustainable Development Progress Committee, which operates within the Lehigh University-United Nations Partnership. My research interests include climate change mitigation and adaptation, especially regarding sea level rise and stronger storms; international environmental sustainability; and risk communication and management.With LinkedIn, I hope to connect with people, companies, and organizations who share similar passions and research interests.
