About Patrick Barth
I'm an astronomer with experience on planetary physics, chemistry, and geology. My research focuses on the role of lightning in the atmospheres of Earth and other planets. I'm particular interested in public outreach and science communication. Over the last few year, I was able to gain experience in various projects such as planetarium shows for school pupils, co-authoring a science fiction short-story, or co-organising an exhibition about atmospheres and climate change for the Steiermarkschau 2023. Ich bin Astronom mit Erfahrung in der Physik, Chemie und Geologie von Planeten. In meiner Forschung beschäftige ich mich mit dem Effekt, den Blitze auf die Atmosphären der Erde und anderer Planeten haben. Ich bin besonders interessiert an Wissenschaftskommunikation und Outreach. In den vergangenen Jahren konnte ich Erfahrungen in verschiedenen Projekten sammeln, z.B. bei Planetariumshows für Schulkinder, der Koautorschaft einer Science Fiction Kurzgeschichte, oder der Koorganisation eine Ausstellung über Atmosphären und den Klimawandel für die Steiermarkschau 2023.
