• Developed a customer return report system that processed customer returns in an organized manner within 48 hours. This included providing RGAs, documenting the initial condition of the returns, and conducting a failure analysis for the failure modes reported by the customer. • Led and managed on two lean six sigma greenbelt projects using the DMAIC to increase operational equipment efficiencies and evaluate the most cost-effective method to manage the future growth of the company. • Managed data collection and used Minitab software to process the data to predict future trends and potential non-conformances before they occurred. Preventative actions were taken to trend the data towards the specification.

Routine responsibilities ranged from investigating and completing corrective actions for parts or processes, to assisting the Director of Quality with Quality Management Systems (QMS). I attended the morning production meeting regularly, where the production team teleconferenced with the production plant located in Reynosa, Mexico. Once or twice a month I would assist in training employees in the TS16949:2009 automotive standard, to assist the organization in meeting the standard. In addition to training, I was assigned to revise the company's "Quality Manual"​ in order to keep it up to date with the current processes. I gained valuable hands on experience dealing with finished products when I routinely worked with the Warranty Inspection Team and Engineering Department on customer issues that would arise. Resolving customer complaints through communication with the customer and investigation of the issue on Velvac's side was something that occurred often, more so as I gained experience with the process. The environment and more importantly the people at Velvac were main reason I was able to make the first step in my career a success.
