Professional staff member for the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee for Agriculture, Rural Development, and Food and Drug Administration. Served as the subject matter expert on all issues relating to FDA, including overseeing the agency’s budget management and program implementation to ensure alignment with Congressional goals, which required bicameral negotiation and coordination with senior FDA leadership.

Managed legislative staff and oversaw the development of legislation, amendments, floor statements, memorandums, legislative analyses and briefings.
